Do you want to produce aluminium products using gravity die casting, but lack experience with this method? Is your current partner unable to guarantee consistent quality or timely deliveries? Avoid unnecessary risks and costs with Perla AluCast's extensive knowledge and reliable approach. We will assist you throughout the entire production process. Furthermore, we offer quality assurance and delivery guarantees for your castings. We have more than twenty-five years of experience in this sector, as well as an ISO 9001:2015 certification.
For gravity die casting, a steel mould is used. This mould consists of two halves that are pressed together. A ladle is used to pour liquid aluminium into the mould from above. Once the aluminium has set and the casting has cooled down sufficiently, it can be removed from the metal mould. This casting method is used to produce small to medium-sized series. Gravity die casting is suitable for castings between 25 g and 10 kg.
The gravity die casting process is performed at our our aluminium foundries in China and India. At these foundries, we have dozens of hydraulically operated machines, casting carousels for semi-automatic casting and tiltable machines used for the production of complex castings. Our aluminium foundries are ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 14001:2015 certified to guarantee the quality of our castings and offer our clients the assurance they want.
Gravity die casting offers various advantages. We have listed the key benefits below:
"As a result of the excellent collaboration and technical support from Perla AluCast, we successfully introduced a casting product to replace a welded assembly and, by doing so, realised a significant cost reduction."
Henk Dammer - Projectmanager, Signify Netherlands B.V.
With our extensive experience, we at Perla AluCast know exactly what you need during the development and production of aluminium castings. We can assist you at every stage of the the casting process Compared to other aluminium foundries, we go the extra mile.
After you submit your request, we will evaluate the 3D design of your casting together. We will advise you on how to optimise the casting's design for production. This helps to minimise the risks during production and will lead to a better - and often cheaper - end product. If your casting forms part of a larger product, we will make the component easier and faster to assemble.
Before we begin the gravity die casting process, we will create a product file and draw up a planning. Next, we will begin production of the mould. We perform interim inspections at various stages during production. Before shipping the castings to you, we will perform a final inspection with the help of the product file.
Once the production process is complete and the final inspection has been performed, it is time to ship the aluminium castings to you. If necessary, we can use e.g. CNC processing, tumbling, blasting, technical anodising, wet painting, powder coating or heat treatment to finish and strengthen the castings.
